The Concept Of Bespoke Fitted Wardrobes

How do you fit the right sized wardrobes and drawers in really odd and awkward places in your bedroom? Ready made wardrobes and drawers and even “flat pack” options just don’t do the job. They do not fit right into that specific space you have in your bedroom. Maybe your space is under eaves, in an alcove or in a recess. It doesn’t really matter to us at Real Room Designs since we will solve your storage problems with bespoke fitted wardrobes and drawers. The made to measure fitted wardrobe option is not always as expensive as you might think. You will get the right solution to fit your problem…

Mr & Mrs B from Glasson Dock, with a lovely house looking over the marina were looking to create some additional storage in one of their bedrooms. The plan was to take out an existing stud wall in the bedroom This would create space for a fitted wardrobe and drawers. Albeit the resulting space created was a strange shape. No free standing wardrobes or any “flat pack” product would fit into the space we created. Indeed the customer had specific requirements for us to work towards. This included us turning the odd shaped space into five wardrobes of various sizes and one containing internal drawers. Not a problem for the guys at Real Room designs.

Fitted Wardrobes Can Transform Any Bedroom

There was quite a bit of measuring and double checking the measurements in the design stage. But once the design had been agreed we had the “green light” from Mr & Mrs B.

We turned up to the job initially to take out an existing stud wall so we could put together the measurements for all the new units that would fill the space and make it more accessible. This was all achieved in one day’s work.

End of day one stud wall gone

Stud Wall Removed Ready For Bespoke Fitted Wardrobes And Drawers

A fortnight later the bespoke wardrobes and drawers were ready to be collected from the factory. We arranged a date that would accommodate the customer for us to return to site and fit the made to measure bedroom furniture. First we laid down dust sheets from the front door to the bedroom which was situated on the ground floor. We unloaded the gear and were ready to start the job for real.

We assembled all the carcases and moved them into place. We fixed them to the wall securely so they couldn’t be moved. Next we took measurements for the in-fills. Once done it will make the whole bespoke fitted furniture look as one, giving it the high quality finish which we always achieve. Finally we fitted the doors with silver satin bow handles and also soft close hinges which gives it that little extra sharpness.

The final images demonstrate the finished product and also how much accessible space the customer now has. With the doors open you can see the different sized wardrobes, some having drawers. With the five doors closed you can see what a stylish and quality addition these wardrobes are to the bedroom. What a transformation bespoke fitted wardrobes and drawers can make!!!
